apple_2319806bSouth Korean electronics maker Samsung has recently lost a legal battle with rival Apple over 3G technology. This is Samsung’s second defeat to the US company in a week. Just a few days ago, the company that manufactures the Galaxy device lost in the patent infringement case of the iPhone in Japan.

Samsung has filed a lawsuit against Apple Computer in Japan, alleging that it was using unlicensed 3G technology.

The Korean company could not take advantage of the same allegations in the UK. Samsung has filed dozens of lawsuits against iPhone makers around the world. But the galaxy maker won only a few (basically three) of them.

The legal battle between Apple and Samsung, two leading companies in the world of smart computing, began in 2011. Apple then filed a lawsuit against Samsung alleging infringement of their intellectual property. Both companies are currently fighting legal battles in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, and the United States.

In a statement, Samsung said it was “embarrassed” by the court’s decision and would consider whether to appeal later. The statement also said that the innovations and developments that the company has made in the mobile industry over the decades are being reflected in their products.

However, Apple did not agree to comment on the verdict.

In a recent historic patent trial between Apple and Samsung, fines for more than ১ 1 billion imposed on Samsung have been reduced by almost 40+ percent. This amount is likely to change further in the future.
