Website of Dhaka University http://www.du.ac.bd It is known from, ‘According to the recommendation of the Academic Council, on Sunday, March 2, 2014, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. The decision was taken at a meeting of the university syndicate chaired by AAMS Arefin Siddique. This year’s convocation speaker will be Professor Rolf Heuer, Director General, European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, Director General of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). At the convocation, Professor Rolf Hoyer will be conferred the degree of Doctor of Science. His Excellency the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of Dhaka University Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid will preside over the convocation.
