1. Take shelter under a pucca house. In case of frequent thunderstorms, it is better not to stay in an open or high place under any circumstances. In this case it is best if you can take shelter under a building.

2. Stay away from tall plants and power lines. Lightning strikes are more likely to occur on tall trees or electricity poles. So don’t go to all these places or stay close. There is a high probability of lightning in a passenger tent or large tree in an open space.

3. Stay away from windows. If you are at home during a thunderstorm, do not stay near the window. Keep windows closed and stay indoors.

4. Avoid metallic objects. Do not touch metal faucets, stair railings, pipes, etc. during lightning and storms. Don’t even touch the land line telephone. Many were injured when they came in contact with the lightning.

5. Be careful not to touch all electrically connected appliances during a lightning strike from the TV-fridge. Do not hold the TV, fridge, etc., even if turned off. If you get a hint of lightning, unplug them and disconnect them completely. Unplug unused appliances beforehand.

. If you are in a car on the road during a thunderstorm, try to get home as soon as possible. If you encounter heavy thunderstorms and rain, take the car under a verandah or paved tent. It can be dangerous to touch the glass of the car at this time.

There is a possibility of an accident by tearing the electric wire. In addition, if lightning strikes somewhere nearby, there is a possibility of getting electrocuted.

. It is very dangerous to wear wet leather shoes or bare feet during a thunderstorm. If you go out in private, cover your feet with shoes. The rubber gumboot will work best in this case.

9. Keep an eye on the four sides. Be aware of the surroundings when moving on the road during a thunderstorm. Eliminate the direction in which lightning is more prone. If someone is injured, try to get them to the hospital quickly.
