17 light-years away from Earth, an Earth-like planet has been discovered Reported Scientists at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Named Gliese 832c, the planet revolves around a red dwarf star whose radius and mass are half that of our Sun. The orbital period of Glaze 632C is 35-36 days. That is, the planet takes about 35 days to complete its orbit. The mass of this newly discovered planet is about five times the mass of our Earth. Researchers hope the planet’s temperature will be the same as Earth’s.
Chris Tiny, a researcher on the project, said that if the environment on the planet Glacier 632C were like that of Earth, it would be possible for an animal to survive there. However, the change of seasons on the planet may be unfavorable. Considering the mass of the planet, it is normal that the mass of the atmosphere there is also huge. In that case the dense atmosphere can become overheated due to excessive heat retention which is not exactly conducive to life.
