According to the newly published report, between November 18, 2020 and January 7, 2021, 25,797 volunteers were selected for the trial. After that 24 thousand 419 of them were given two doses of vaccine. Two weeks later, 130 volunteers were found to be infected with the symptomatic corona virus. Of these, 24 are from the vaccine group and 106 are placebo recipients. As a result, the effectiveness rate was found to be 7.6 percent.

At the same time, the report states that the vaccine works against 75.7 percent of covaxin and delta variant (B.1.617.2) which are effective in the body of asymptomatic corona sufferers. It is learned that this third phase trial is being conducted in 25 hospitals of the country in compliance with all safety measures.
