At Google’s annual developer conference, the company announced the launch of a completely new version of the Android operating system. The operating system, called Android Go, is primarily designed for low-powered smartphones. Google is hopeful that phones with low hardware specifications will be able to offer better performance using Android Go.
Android Go is the next lite version of Google’s original Android and operating system. Android Go OS will run the lite version of Google’s most widely used apps that will use less RAM and less storage. Even Android Go’s OS kernel will change.
Devices with 1 GB of RAM or less will have Android Go installed.
The Google Chrome browser that will be provided in the Android Go operating system will have the data saver turned on by default. Apps that are within the size of 10 megabytes, they will be considered as optimized for Android Go.
In addition, Google has created a special ‘YouTube Go’ app for Android Go, which will consume less data than the original YouTube app.
An idea similar to Android Go has already been put into practice by Microsoft in their Windows 10 operating system. Windows 10S operating system Just like the ones made for low power PCs Android Go Made for low spec phones. All future Android releases will have a ‘Go’ version.
The Android operating system is currently the most popular mobile OS. So people’s expectations from it are gradually increasing. Android may need more hardware capabilities to add new features. Then it will be difficult to run Android for cheap phones. Google has created Android Go so that the situation does not arise, at least I think so.
