Instagram has brought a new video editing tool to Brazil, which has seen many popular features of the TickTock app.
According to TechCrunch, this tool is called Reels, which exists on both iOS and Android platforms. However, whether this feature will be available in all other countries depends on its success in Brazil.
The Reels feature allows users to record 15-second videos. You can also change the speed of the video and add music to it. In all these respects, the feature looks a lot like TickTock’s duet feature.
Users will be able to share videos created by Reels in their stories. Videos can also be sent as a direct message. In addition to this, a section called Top Reels has been added in the Explore tab of Instagram, where the top videos made by Reels will be displayed.
Instagram will be able to compete with TickTock through their Reals feature. Earlier in 2016, Instagram achieved great success by adding Snapchat’s story feature to their platform.
However, Instagram’s director of product management, Robbie Stein told TechCrunch“No two products can ever be the same. Adding songs to videos and sharing them is popular all over the world, which is everyone’s favorite. Our goal is to make this unique for our users. “
