Air Force training aircraft landed in a paddy field due to a mechanical fault

biman imageA training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force has been forced to make an emergency landing in a paddy field in Jessore due to a mechanical fault. The two pilots on board are unharmed and healthy. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Thursday.

The PT-6 training aircraft was in an emergency at Maidi village near Jessore airport due to technical glitches during the exercise at 11:22 a.m. on Thursday. Landed. Its two aviation squadron leader Farooq and pilot officer Jami were able to get out of the plane safely.

Immediately after the accident, two pilots were airlifted to the Air Force’s Birshreshtha Matiur Rahman base by an Air Force rescue helicopter. The plane was in a paddy field until the last news was received and one of its wings was slightly damaged during landing.
