Officially launched 3G service Airtel Bangladesh Limited. Telecommunications Minister Sahara Khatun 3G’s official Inauguration Does. The Banani and Gulshan-2 areas will be covered by Airtel 3G by Thursday, said Chris Tobit, CEO of the company.Airtel 3G will be fully operational in some areas of Dhaka-Chittagong this October, some areas of Sylhet in November, and in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet by December.
Airtel will deliver 3G services to all divisional cities by January 2014 and across the country by December.
Earlier, on September 26, at around 11 o’clock, the 3rd largest mobile phone service provider in the country Robi has launched 3.5G experimentally. And Launched 3.9G on 29th September Grameenphone is the largest mobile operator in the country.
