Amazon launches YouTube rival service!

Ecommerce giant Amazon has launched an online video service to compete with Google’s video sharing site YouTube. Users can post, watch and monetize videos here. The name of the service Amazon Video Direct.

Viewers can rent or purchase content from here and watch free videos in exchange for ads. The version without the ad will have an exchange of subscription fees for Amazon’s Prime members, along with other benefits.

Initially, Amazon’s video services will be available in the United States, Germany, Austria, Japan and the United Kingdom.

The company has gained access to professional TV shows and films through Prime Video, a rival to Netflix.

It also allows you to stream video clips made by video gamers via Twitch.

Jim Freeman, Amazon’s vice president, said there would be more options than anything else, and for the first time, there would be self-service options for video providers. “We are very pleased that we are able to make it easier for content creators to find visitors and viewers to find content more easily,” he added.

Amazon has previously published free content on various platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.
