The mobile operating system Android is being attacked by malware attackers. In a recent mobile malware report, a research firm called Blue Coat published this information.
According to the company, 57% of the malware (malicious software) blocked by Web-Pulse is Android root privileged and fraudulent software. About 40 percent of Android-based malware is spread through Malnet (the network used to spread malware).
According to Blue Coat, the most dangerous field for mobile subscribers in 2012 was pornography. During this time, more than 20 percent of malware-infected users have entered malicious sites through various pornographic sites.
Although mobile users spend only 1 percent or less of their time browsing pornographic sites on these devices, there is a high risk of cyber attacks whenever they do.
Interestingly, in the early days of malware attacks, when only desktop users were targeted, pornographic websites were a widely used weapon of cybercriminals. But now that there are various search engines and social networking sites, there is a tendency to spread malware using them.
