Animated GIF images can now be used as profile pictures on search service provider Google’s social networking site Google Plus. Official of the company on Tuesday 26th March On the Google Plus page This new feature has been announced. The animations will work on both Google Plus Desktop and Mobile View versions. The profile GIF image will work in your post and in the profile section. But the pro-pic that comes after any user post will be seen as a still image.

Google Plus’ iOS and Android mobile applications have also been updated. Photofilter, contrast-brightness adjustment etc. have been added in iOS version.

For Android users, there is some visual improvement in the options of plus button, share-comment etc. And the facility to share location with selected friend circle has also been added.

Google Plus will add a different dimension to the GIF support platform. The absence of the feature on Facebook and Twitter will remind users of Ziplus at least a little bit. Note that the microblogging site Twitter previously supported animated GIF, but last year it Is closed.
