WiFiSLAMTech giant Apple recently bought the indoor-GPS (Global Positioning Systems) company WiFislam. Apple completed the deal at a time when the use of location indicators inside homes and buildings was slowly increasing. Citing unnamed sources The Wall Street Journal Says Apple paid around ২০ 20 million to buy WiFiSlam. The newspaper also confirmed the news to an Apple spokesman. However, no immediate comment was received from WiFislam.

The two-year-old startup company provides location services using a WiFi network. The company employs a significant number of employees, and one of its founding members is Google Software Engineering intern Joseph Huang.

Apple has already launched its own map to reduce reliance on Google-services. Initially, Apple maps caught a number of flaws, but the iPhone maker has promised to provide better service to customers by correcting them.

However, Google has also launched indoor mapping services in certain places, including airports and shopping centers. Although Google is far ahead in terms of general GPS, Apple is well prepared to compete with the search company in indoor mapping.
