Tech giant Apple is enlisting the help of freelancers to develop its mapping services. Launched in 2012 Apple Maps So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange. Many iPhone users are using Google Maps instead of Apple Maps. People are not able to rely on Apple’s own maps because the addresses of different places do not appear correctly. And so Apple is hiring freelancers to make the mapping service more reliable.
These freelance workers will search various places on Apple Maps to verify their addresses and correct any mistakes. Apple pays an average of 54 cents (about half a dollar) for each address verified. It takes a few minutes to make such an entry Reported Macriumors.
A freelancer can work a maximum of 20 hours per week in this project called ‘Treating’. Or, a maximum of 600 entries per week can be given for one.
However, in order to work on that freelancing project to fix Apple’s map, freelancers have to read a 200-page book thoroughly, so that the rules of the project are mentioned.
And anyone can do freelancing on Apple if they want. Because, Apple did not give any notice of it on their site. Instead, the company hires contract workers through third-party freelancing agencies / suppliers.
