Apple imitated Samsung – Fulcrumy

Samsung unveiled their Samsung Pass technology at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. Like Apple’s Face ID and Touch ID, it uses the user’s face or fingerprint to log in to services like e-banking.

But functionality alone is not the only thing that resembles e-face ID. Looking at the icon of Samsung Pass, it seems that Samsung has copied the logo of Apple Face ID exactly.

On the top left is Samsung’s presentation slide and on the right is Apple’s Face ID icon. The two logos look exactly the same. Rounded corners, vertical eyes, J-shaped noses, smile proportions – no comparison, no differences between the two logos.

Samsung’s head of consumer electronics, R.S. Kim showed the aforementioned slide, where he talks about companies’ investments in security and identity protection technologies.

However, this is not the first time that Samsung has duplicated its rival. Samsung has previously used Apple’s app icons, charging cables, and even business strategies. However, neither Samsung nor Apple have yet commented on the matter.
