District Legal Advisor will be appointed in Tripura Police. A total of 10 vacant posts will be filled by Tripura Police. Recruitment will also be made for the post of Additional Legal Advisor. This appointment will be made on full contract basis. The term of the contract will be one year.

Educational qualifications and work experience

1. Candidate must have a law degree from a recognized university.

2. Must have at least 5 years experience in fighting criminal cases in Judicial Magistrate’s Court and Sessions Court.

3. Retired ‘Law’ Officer or Retired Judicial Officer of any department of Central or State Government.

4. Copies of 10 recorded judgments should be submitted as proof of experience where the candidate has acted as chief counsel.

Salary

District Legal Advisor: – Rs. 1,00,000 / – per month

Additional Legal Advisor: – Rs.1,50,000 / – per month

Candidates will not get any allowance without salary. Lawyers will get 15 days more paid leave besides government leave.

Since full-time candidates will be hired, lawyers will not be able to engage in any private practice during the contract period. Also, lawyers will have to take an oath not to fight any lawsuits that have been worked out during the contract period after the contract expires.
