Asus Transformer Pad Receives Android 4.2 Update as First Non-Nexus Device

Asus trOne of the features of Google Nexus series devices is its updated operating system. This time Asus Transformer Pad TF300 is coming with the same facility; This tablet is going to get the updated version 4.2 Jelly Bean of Android OS as a non-Nexus device for the first time today. Its initial journey will start from the United States. The upgrade will be available in other countries on an “over the air” basis.

The Asus bundle app will be available with Android Jelly Bean 4.2 later this month. Although the exact “build” of the operating system will not be specified, the latest Android version 4.2.2 bug fix version is expected.

The Transformer Pad device you can use on both tablets and laptops. Its docking panel has a full quality keyboard, USB port, multitouch touchpad and SD card slot. The tablet also has a 10.1 inch screen, Nvidia Tegra three quad core processor, 32 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, GPS, 15 hours battery backup etc.

Asus has always been providing relatively fast software updates on the company’s devices. For example, the previous Android 4.1 update of the Transformer Pad tablet was received within a few days of the announcement of the software. Asus says that this is possible because of the “good relationship” with Android maker Google.

However, not all Asus products will get software updates so soon. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, Mimo Pad Smart and Mimo Pad customers will have to wait until the second quarter of this year to get the new software.
