The lockdown started in Kolkata from 5 pm on 23/03/20 and four days later in the whole state. If necessary, I drove to Baliganj on the last 15th, in my own car. From Gangulibagan to Baliganj, no policeman wanted to know where I was going. Lockdown means only discounts on essential products such as drinking water, telephone, internet, food, vegetables, groceries, hospitals, medical centers, drug stores and electricity services. Ration shops will also be open.

But I did not see much awareness in the city dwellers. On the other hand, there is a small village in the hills of Darjeeling, named after him Lamahata Slum. It is a small village in the hills of Darjeeling, 24 km from Darjeeling and 64 km from New Jalpaiguri. I had four days to grow Paljar Babu in this village last February. The pollution-free sky, the white Kanchenjunga standing in front of the blue sky like a wall of ice and the wind blowing from it has kept this Lamahata village cool. This small village is located at an altitude of five and a half thousand. This green village of mine has a sweet cold all over my body.

There are about seven homestays in this village. Disinfectant drugs are being applied in every house in the village. The people of that village can do what we cannot do in the city. My dear hill brother Dendrup Lama sent me a picture of their fight today and advised us to be aware. I saluted the people of that village from far away Kolkata. Yes, brother of the hill, I have seen that you can save the country from the enemy of the outside world, and if you also show this, our body will be aware of how to save itself from the enemy.
