New Delhi: The situation is dire when the second wave of corona in the country. Experts say it is difficult to get people from all over the country vaccinated. In such cases, if the vaccine is given in one dose instead of two doses, it will be possible to bring everyone under vaccination. As the corona vaccination campaign in the country progresses, the central government is considering whether it is possible to administer the covshield vaccine in a single dose instead of two shots.

The Covishield vaccine was jointly developed by Oxford University in the United Kingdom and the British-Swedish pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca. It is being produced by the Serum Institute of India in India. It is known as Covishield in India and Vaxjevria in foreign countries. In this country, the government has increased the interval between two doses of Covishield vaccine from 4-6 weeks to 12-16 weeks.

According to sources, if the government decides to run Covishield on a single scale, it will be possible to bring the huge population of the country under vaccination. It is reported that the AstraZeneca vaccine was originally planned to be administered as a single dose. However, after studying its effectiveness, it was finalized as a two-dose vaccine.

On the other hand, NK Aurora, chairman of the Corona Working Group under the National Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI), a national technical advisory group on vaccines, said it was considering whether a single shot would provide adequate protection. “We are evaluating the effectiveness of the single shot of the cove shield,” he added.

According to sources, the government is of the view that Kovishield should be administered as a single dose vaccine like other JABs based on the same platform as Sputnik Light and Johnson & Johnson’s Johnson vaccine. The government also said it would test dosage combinations of different vaccines to see if Covishield coronavirus had increased immunity.

Red-blue-purple…! It’s hard to find news without ‘color’. Which news is ‘eating’? Is that the last word? Or the real truth is the name ‘news’!

Running after ‘breaking’ and prime time, real journalism is stuck on the wall. Journalists with their hands tied in red eyes and money.

However, we do not believe in adding color to the fourth pillar of democracy. And you can bring him back from the brink of death. Isn’t the ‘fake’ badge going on in the free news across the social wall? In fact, nothing in the world is ‘free’. So, even a penny you give can provide oxygen. Your small donation is also valuable in the interest of independent journalism. Stay tuned.
