BTRC’s call center will now receive complaints 24 hours a day

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) launched their complaint service long ago. With this, customers could easily lodge a complaint against any operator or ISP by dialing 100. This service gained a lot of popularity after its launch. According to customers, this service has helped the operators to provide better service by putting pressure on them.

However, since its inception, this service was available only 6 hours a day. This means that customers could call this number only during office hours to complain. However, this time BTRC is increasing the scope of this complaint service. From now on, customers will be able to lodge complaints 24 hours a day by dialing 100.

However, the cost of BTRC to keep the prosecution service running during this extra time is around Tk 22 lakh per year. Which was only 6 lakh rupees before. BTRC is providing this service with the help of a company called Impel Service and Solutions. About 7,000 complaints have been lodged against various operators in the last one year after the launch of this service.
