Popular antivirus maker Kaspersky Lab has received a sensational complaint. In an interview with Reuters, two former employees of the company That’s it Says. The two men alleged that Kaspersky anonymously combined some known software with ‘dangerous’ code and submitted the files to various malware detection systems, such as Google’s ‘Virastotal’. As a result, those known software were identified as malware or malicious software.

Other software / antivirus companies then mistakenly identified some of the most widely used software as viruses. Because Kaspersky submitted a sample of the software by adding malicious code to them. And after the software of the same name was identified as a virus, the users also had a negative attitude towards that software.

According to Reuters sources, Kaspersky had carried out such activities from 2009 to 2013.

But Kaspersky’s authorities have denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once. Kaspersky, a Moscow-based Russian company, says it has never committed such an act.
