According to the West Bengal Heath Department bulletin, the number of infected people on Friday was 1,933. 1,923 people were infected on Thursday. On this day, samples of 55 thousand 558 people have been verified. The infection rate is 3.48 percent. The number of infected people in Calcutta is 190. 236 affected in North 24 Parganas. The number of victims in Howrah, Hooghly and South 24 Parganas is 113, 129 and 112 respectively. At present 22 thousand 231 people are active in the state.
In the last 24 hours, 35 people have died in COVID (West Bengal). Yesterday the number was 41. The death toll in Kolkata and North 24 Parganas is 6 and 7 respectively. 3 people died in South 24 Parganas. The death toll in Howrah and Hughli is 2 and 1 respectively. In the last 24 hours, 1,985 people have become coronavirus free in the state. The recovery rate so far is 98.33%.
As many as 3 lakh 18 thousand 264 people have been vaccinated in the state till Friday. 2 lakh 50 thousand 230 people have taken the first dose of vaccine. 6,044 people got the second dose. So far more than 20 million doses have been given in Bengal.
