The rate of infection is increasing in the state. According to the health department’s bulletin (Heath Department), in the last 24 hours, 6,626 samples have been tested. 19 thousand 424 people have been infected. Infection rate is 10.13%. It was 10.02% yesterday. The number of infected people in Kolkata is 3,75. 4,115 infected in North 24 Parganas. The number of victims in Howrah, Hooghly and South 24 Parganas is 1201, 1102 and 1202 respectively.

In 24 hours, 145 people died in Covid Death in West Bengal. The death toll in Kolkata and North 24 Parganas is 36 and 38 respectively. A total of 4,004 people died in Kolkata due to two waves of corona. 6 people died in 24 hours in Howrah. 13 people died in South 24 Parganas. 6 people died in Hughli.

In the last 24 hours, 19,050 people have become coronavirus free in the state. The recovery rate is still 7.60%. At present 1 lakh 31 thousand 693 people are actively infected.
