The amount of fake information on Facebook has increased since the coronavirus infection. At the same time, the medium is struggling to delete that information. Last April, only 5 crore fake news and posts related to Kovid-19 were deleted by Facebook.

Such information has come up in the community standard report published by Facebook on Tuesday.

There are also seven and a half thousand articles in these posts which Facebook verified through an independent fact check organization and then removed. In which various inconsistencies of information have been found.

Since March 1, the medium has deleted 2.5 million posts of only masks, hand sanitizers, surface distinguishing wipes, Covid-19 medicines and Covid-19 test kits.

Facebook says it is doing its utmost to stop the removal of such fake information and news through its sophisticated AI technology.

At the same time, Facebook is working with at least 60 fact-checking organizations in different countries of the world.

In the last quarter of 2019, Facebook removed 2.7 million posts related to cyber bullying and harassment. Another 23 lakh had to be removed till March this year.
