From now on, people will be able to avail any service of DMP (Dhaka Metropolitan Police) through mobile phone. This will require an app, which can be installed to contact DMP officials with phone numbers as well as emails. The app was officially launched by DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed at a press conference at the DMP Media Center auditorium on Tuesday.

1) It contains the address and map of each police station including the number of OC and duty officer of all police stations in Dhaka. Using this application you can easily find your nearest police station from anywhere in Dhaka; It will also show you the way to the police station on Google Map.

2) DMP’s Facebook page has a ‘Facebook button’ to easily post any message or message, which will help you to know directly about the latest information and services of DMP. In case of emergency, a ‘Blood Button’ has been added to collect blood from DMP Blood Bank and other related information.

3) You can use the ‘Women Button’ to get various services of DMP’s Women Support Department.

4) Also from DMP-map you can easily send location photo of any police station to any of your friends or relatives.

5) In case of emergency, you can send an SMS to any of your phone numbers in this application with just one click. It has a ‘Quick Contact Button’ for reporting any accident on the road to the DMP’s hotline, which can be used to easily provide any information to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police directly over the phone or email. You no longer have to go to the police station to report any crime or send pictures or report any crime in your area to the police, just one click is enough.

6) Also detailed information about different services of DMP is given in this application. This very user friendly application can be used in both Bengali and English. By launching this modern application with all these features, Dhaka Metropolitan Police has set a unique example in civil service. This is the first instance of using mobile phone application in any government service in Bangladesh to deliver services to the people.
