The country’s largest information technology conference and fair ‘Digital World 2015’ has started at 4:30 pm on Monday, February 9 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the four-day festival. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Information and Communication Technology Sajeeb Wazed Joy presented the keynote address at the inaugural function. Also present were State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, BASIS President Shamim Ahsan and others.

The progress of the implementation of Digital Bangladesh will be highlighted in this year’s Digital World Fair with the slogan ‘Future is here’. It includes various e-service exhibitions and related seminars. There are also four separate exhibitions on mobile, e-commerce, e-governance and Basis SoftExpo. There will also be special arrangements for women.
