Social networking giant Facebook has announced the launch of a new type of post format Gave. Music can be shared in the form of status in this format called Music Stories. The first 30 seconds of the songs shared on Facebook through the link can be heard directly on Facebook. That is, if your friends share a link to a song on Facebook using this feature, then you can listen to the first 30 seconds of that song from Facebook. For this, there is no need to leave Facebook and go to the music website.
This preview system will currently apply to songs shared from Spotify and Apple Music. More new services will be added in the future.
For now, Facebook app users on the iPhone will see the song link shared from Spotify and Apple Music as a new format post called Music Story and will be able to play the first 30 seconds directly on Facebook. If the feature is popular, it is expected to be launched in other versions of Facebook.
However, popularizing music sharing on social networking sites is not an easy task. Earlier, Twitter also launched a music service that lasted only a year. Then it is closed. Instagram also has a music feature, but it hasn’t gained much popularity yet.
