Facebook is working to create a new verification system to suppress fake accounts. This method allows users to confirm their identity by recording a short video of their face. Jane Manchun Wong, who is known for predicting upcoming features of Facebook, found out that this feature has been added to Facebook.
Screenshots from Wong’s post show that Facebook will ask users to create a short video that shows the user’s full face. This will allow Facebook to confirm whether the user of that account is a real person.

Recently, Facebook has started deleting fake accounts and bot accounts from their site. In the first half of this year, Facebook deleted more than 2 billion fake accounts.
Many people think that the goal of Facebook is to make their site more secure and credible by adding video selfies.
