Tiktak’s main app was launched in China in 2016. Then in 2016, TickTock was opened to everyone in the world. In the meantime, it has been merged with another app Musically.
Every year the popularity of Tiktak has increased more than before. It even surpasses many high-profile apps in terms of downloads in mainstream appstores.
As is always the case in the technology world, the features of a popular app or service are quickly offered to others. Just like the popularity of Tiktak Google YouTube too Rumor has it that a feature like TickTock is about to launch Going.
Just like Ticket is played by looping 3 to 60 second video, YouTube will also have the feature of making short videos. Which will be shown in a separate feed. All these will be shown in the main app of YouTube.
The feature will be called ‘Shorts’ which is expected to be able to use Google’s huge licensed music repository.
TickTock has pulled many video makers from YouTube or Facebook to their own platforms. Now let’s see if Google can bring back their users from TickTock via YouTube Shorts.
