Freelancer’s Diary: What is the effect of Robi-Airtel merger?

robi airtel 1 company

The rest of the operators have given a “positive” attitude towards the merger of Robi and Airtel. The merger of multiple companies into a business is a very common thing. On the other hand, GP alone now has more than 5 crore subscribers. If Robi and Airtel merge, then the number of subscribers of “Enhanced Robi” will be around 40 million. That means GPE will still be on top.

Will Robi be able to “monopolize” with 4 crore customers? What is the GP doing now? What to do next?

A few days ago, I saw in the news that two universities have proposed to conduct research to analyze the impact of this merger, so that the research cost is 8 to 11 lakh rupees (proposed).

Apparently, research has shown that many Robi subscribers can become monopolized. So what will happen to their customers if Airtel doesn’t want to do business in Bangladesh anymore? Take Teletalk? If you take Banglalink, you will have to do one more research! That calculation may become more complicated.

Feels bad for Teletalk. At one time people stood in line and bought Teletalk SIM. Teletalk could not maintain that popularity. A lot would have been possible if only the network. Infrastructure could be shared. But unfortunately, we have not yet been able to pick up a potential operator like Teletalk, but rather thinking about the impact of Robi-Airtel’s merger!

What do you think? What could be the impact?
