Google and Samsung are also working together on the Android operating system.
Samsung called the deal “very important for the technology industry.” The company says it will reduce the risk of future patent lawsuits with Google. The deal would also make Samsung stronger against rivals like Apple. There are currently billions of dollars of patent lawsuits between Apple and Samsung worldwide.
Apple’s legal battle with Google’s Motorola Mobility division continues. This web-based organization is also looking for benefits from this side. However, Apple can not give up. They are maintaining their position through internal patent agreements with several other giant tech companies, including Microsoft.
