GP’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mahmud Hossain received the license on behalf of Grameenphone, Chris Tobit, CEO of Airtel Bangladesh on behalf of Airtel Bangladesh and Mahmudur Rahman, Executive Vice President of the company on behalf of Robi.
Speaking to the operators at the handover ceremony at BTRC’s conference room, the chairman of the company said, “We will make sure that the service is readily available so that the customers can get the data service seamlessly.”
Mr. Sunil Kanti Bose also commented that customers are not satisfied with the data service currently available.
He added, “Operators need to be vigilant from the very beginning so that data services in 3G services are up to standard.” There is hope among the customers about 3G, so that the customers do not lose interest in the beginning “,” We hope that there will be no question among the customers about 3G service “;
Grameenphone official Mahmud Hossain said, “Grameenphone has made all preparations to launch 3G service. I hope to be able to start this program before the announced time i.e. October “;
Airtel CEO Chris Tobit said, “Airtel will ensure quality 3G services to its customers. It will be announced soon when Airtel will start the service “;
Robi Executive VP Mahmudur Rahman said, “Robi is working to provide quality 3G services. Robi will launch the service in early October “;
