Gioni Bianchini, founder and CEO of technology company Seguro, said: “In early May 2020, two people in our office were infected with cavities, and we were all told to go home.” They provided shields or helmets with air filters for the military, medical field and other industries. So with the factory temporarily shut down after the incident, Gioni Bianchini and her partners focused on how to further enhance these personal protective equipment with technology to protect their employees. Now they are trying to market these tools to others.
“People who have had to go back to work during the epidemic are experiencing these problems every day,” said Gioni Bianchini. SmartSpace is a wearable device that alerts users when they move within six feet of each other using radio waves on ultra wideband frequencies.
Gionee Bianchini said: “It’s basically a radar that sends a signal from behind to try to find another device and register everything by date, distance and time.” This information can also be used to search for contacts. If a person is infected with the coronavirus, the administrator of that organization can notify other people who have come to them.
The company added that the system will only be able to track the movements of people who are present at work. Beanchini was also thinking about how technology could improve the masks that his factory workers wore all day. He added: “The shields we wear on our faces for protection seemed to work well enough, but we were thinking ‘how can we provide clean air to the shield users and control the air particles that come out with inhalation’. , So we have also attached UV-C LED lights inside the shield to provide fresh air inside the shield. ”
The company has designed a helmet with built-in HEPA, High Efficiency Particulate Air filter. Helmets also have extra features to keep colleagues’ faces clear while working to stay safe in an epidemic.
