htc one seriesThere is a bit of bad news for those HTC One X and One X + users who will update their hobby smartphone to the new Android version. HTC recently announced that it will no longer provide any future Android updates for the One X and One X + devices. So if you are using the above device range then if you want to run official OS then you have to be limited to maximum Android 4.2.2.

HTC OneX was a 2012 flagship device with a 720p display, polycarbonate body and dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

The One X + has a 2100 mAh battery, more storage, a faster 1.6 GHz Tegra 3 processor, and an updated front-facing camera. Posted from HTC UK’s Twitter account In one status This information is confirmed. Another thing to note here is that the Taiwanese firm made this announcement just 14 months after the release of the HTC One X +.

HTC did not provide any further details about the decision not to update the new Android. However, they said that with the 4.2.2 version of Android, users will be able to enjoy all the hardware features of the two devices.

However, this is not the first time HTC has taken such a decision. A similar announcement was made last year for the OneS model, although its hardware configuration was well suited for running the new Android version!

Do you have HTC One X or One X + handset? What is your opinion about closing the update?
