Of this, 1.75 crore doses were for private hospitals. Out of those 1.85 crore doses, private hospitals have taken 1.29 crore vaccine doses. Only 22 lakh doses have been given from there. As a percentage, it is only 16 percent.

Why are there so many vaccinations in private hospitals? According to experts, the main reason for this is the huge price of vaccines in private hospitals. The Centre’s claim that the vaccine is not available in private hospitals, as claimed by various media outlets, is incorrect.

It is to be noted that the center has fixed the price of the vaccine a few days ago so that people can buy the corona vaccine even with money and the vaccine is not black marketed. Covishield is priced at Rs 60, Sputnik V is priced at Rs 1145 and Covacin is priced at Rs 1410. This will be added to the service charge of private hospitals. Besides, the government has announced that it will buy 75 percent of the vaccines produced in the country. The remaining 25 percent will be bought by private hospitals.
