Two vaccines have been cleared in India. One of them is COVAXIN from India Biotech. Covacin is effective in counteracting multiple strains of coronavirus, including double mutants, the ICMR said in a statement.

India Biotech is going to double the production of covacin. They have set a target of producing 800 million doses a year. India Biotech said in a statement that the production of vaccines is being gradually increased at its factories in Hyderabad and Bangalore. According to sources, India Biotech initially had the capacity to produce 200 million covacins.

Coronavirus double mutants E484Q and L452R have been detected in India. This is called B.1.617. Last year, a scientist identified the coroner’s double mutant. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement on Monday.
