Bangladesh’s first software technology park was inaugurated at Janata Tower in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar on Sunday, October 18. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Information Technology Sajeeb Wazed Joy made the announcement at a function held at Bangladesh Computer Council building in Agargaon.

He said, “The ultimate goal of Digital Bangladesh was to build IT industry in the country. It is a great pleasure to be here today to inaugurate the country’s first software technology park. ”

This software technology park will have special facilities for startups (new) companies in the technology sector. Here IT entrepreneurs can start their business.

State Minister for Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said on the occasion, “Google, Facebook and other big companies of the world started as startups.” He called upon the young generation to be enterprising to achieve success through competition.
