The database of the National Equipment Identification Register (NEIR) will synchronize the IMEI number of the mobile phone, the number of the SIM to be launched (MSISDN), biometric identification of the customers with the SIM.

It is learned that a total of 150 million mobile phone sets have already been registered, both legal and illegal. However, from July 1, only legally imported sets will be registered. What will happen to illegal mobile phones?

Invalid set of SIM services, such as calling or receiving, SIM company data, etc. cannot be used.

After checking in the mentioned method, showing any phone as valid means it is registered. However, if any set is invalid, the customer will be informed through message. After receiving the message, illegal mobile users will get three months to register their phone and SIM. Mobile can be used normally in those three months. Within the stipulated time, the customer will be able to register the mobile phone as valid by showing his / her purchase receipt or other documents.

If you do not register, after this three months, no SIM service can be used in that set.

What is the way to legalize an illegal phone? (Invalid phone registration rules) – After verifying the validity of the mobile phone in the mentioned rules, the information regarding illegal phone registration will be informed in the return SMS. – Phones bought legally from abroad or received as a gift will be automatically activated in the network after activating the SIM in Bangladesh.
