Hyderabad: As a result of this spread of corona infection, most physicians and experts believe that it is important to adhere to all corona restrictions as well as to vaccinate as many people as possible. Only then can this Pandemic be dealt with. Vaccination work has already started in India. But there have been many questions about the slow vaccination process and the inadequacy of the corona vaccine. Basically, India is now working on two types of vaccines. One is the Oxford-Covisheild manufactured by AstraZeneca which is being developed by the Serum Institute and the other is the Covaxin manufactured by Bharat Biotech. India Biotech said on Tuesday that it expects Kovacin to be included in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) emergency use listing as a corona vaccine. According to Bharat Biotech, Kovacin is likely to be on the list from July to September.

Bharat Biotech said it was already in the process of clearing Kovacin in 70 countries, including the United States, Brazil and Hungary. Emergency use listing (EUL) is a process where a new or unlicensed product may be used for public health needs, according to World Health Organization guidelines. “Applications for EUL have been submitted in Geneva, most likely in July-September,” said India Biotech.

Sources had earlier said that Bharat Biotech International Limited had already informed the central government that it had already submitted 90 per cent documentation for EV clearance of Kovacin. And the rest of the required documents for EUL clearance will be submitted by June. India Biotech has informed the central government about this. Covaxin manufacturer Bharat Biotech has stated that they have already received clearance for use of this vaccine in 13 countries on emergency basis.
