Abdullah Al Mamun Khan Deep, a student of 07th batch of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (T&E) Department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) has been able to successfully fly an unmanned aircraft (drone) in the sky. This was Deep’s 4th year thesis project which was supervised by Professor Dr. Md. Shahjahan. The device is designed as a fully autonomous drone. Rizvi, Rana, Rezwan and others were with him in this work.

The first drone was controlled by remote control, but now it is able to navigate according to the location with the help of Google Maps. It does not need any more human control.

To banglanews24.com Deep said that with this drone, it will be possible to transport emergency goods just like Amazon. However, in addition to the secure website, the drone’s security system also needs to be further improved.

Once programmed, it will float to a certain height and reach its destination, and by adjusting its height, it will be able to send live encrypted videos of ongoing events.

Deep has also been working for some time as a drone system developer for the German company Cyplus. He is currently researching the creation of an autonomous plane.
