Smart card distribution activities are in full swing in Bangladesh. The ID card that is being used to laminate on paper as the national identity card of the citizens will be replaced by the new technology smart ID card rich in electronic chips. This machine readable card digitally stores various citizen information which will make it easier to access various facilities. If you haven’t received a smartcard yet, you can easily find out when to get your card. Below are the ways.
Smart card distribution information by SMS or call
Go to the message option of the mobile, write SC, write NID with space, write 16 digit NID number with space. If your NID number is 13 digits, add the year of birth at the beginning of the NID number. After sending the message to 105 (from any mobile operator) you will get the information of your smart card distribution in the return message. If the answer is “Your card distribution date is not scheduled yet, please try later”, then understand that the date and place of distribution of your smart card has not been determined yet. So try again in a few days.

Online smart card distribution information
You can easily find information regarding the distribution of your smart card from the website of the Election Commission. For this, visit first https://services.nidw.gov.bd/card_distribution Website.
Then fill in the NID number or slip number of the voter registration form, date of birth and captcha boxes. Then click the ‘View Card Delivery Information’ button. A window will then appear stating the date and place of your smartcard delivery.
If it says “No data found for: Your card distribution date is not scheduled yet, please try later”, then it is understood that the date and place of distribution of your smart card has not been determined yet. So try again in a few days.
