From Facebook yesterday It is said, Journalists with verified profiles, experts can broadcast live video using the Mention app. Previously, only selected stars / celebrities could use the app. Journalists can now broadcast live news with the help of this app. Vadim Lavrusic, Facebook’s product manager, said they wanted to expose Facebook’s potential to journalists.
The Mention app lets users understand what people think of their news. With this, the user can also select his audience if he wants. Journalists will be able to decide with whom to share the news.
To use the Mention app, the customer (journalist) must have a verified page or profile on Facebook. Anyone can apply for verified status but only eligible candidates will be verified.
Note that the Mention app was launched last year. But the facility to stream live with the help of Mention app started last month.
