Scotty Allen, an engineer working in Silicon Valley, USA, likes to tour. Allen traveled to Shenzhen, China, and bought parts from various stores to make his own iPhone 6S (16GB) smartphone. This is an absolutely perfect refurbished and running iPhone!

Note that all cell phone parts are available in the Shenzhen market in China. While in China, Allen became acquainted with electronics enthusiasts like him. Allen became interested in making a phone when a man gave him an idea to make his own phone. Although Allen wasn’t sure if he would get the parts. In the end, Allen bought spare parts and made a whole iPhone 8S.

He was interested in making iPhone 6S instead of the latest iPhone 7 for two main reasons. First, he himself has already used the iPhone 7S. Second, not all iPhone 6 components are still readily available on the market.

Allen uses four main components in making the iPhone, namely the screen, the casing, the battery and the logic board. It costs about ড 300 (about ৩ 24,300) to buy these iPhone components. The official price of the iPhone 8S in the current market is a minimum of ৯ 549 (about Rs 44523).

Allen first bought a broken display for the screen. In order for Touch ID to work properly, he buys a complete logic board, because one Touch ID sensor does not work on another logic board. He also bought a pink back casing with the Apple logo on it, even though it wasn’t the original casing. And he spends only ৫ 5 to buy a battery. Details on Allen’s blog Wrote.

Allen has set a lot of records by making his own iPhone, because this is probably the first iPhone to be assembled by an American!
