Azimo, a new UK company, claims that it has for the first time launched an online money transfer facility through a social networking platform. The company, which was established in 2012, said that the new service will facilitate fast, secure and easy transactions through Facebook. Money can be sent to bank accounts in more than 125 countries around the world using Azimo’s exclusive Facebook application. In this case, the service provider can charge 1 to 2 percent service charge on each transaction.
Here are the steps to send money through Azimo Facebook application:
1. The sender will first send an automated message to Facebook for the recipient to sign-up to Azimo.
2. The customer will then login to Azimore’s Facebook app and provide a form with certain data such as where they want to send money, from which pay-out branch it will be withdrawn, top-up on mobile or transfer to bank etc.
3. The confidential information that will be taken from the recipient will not be disclosed except in certain areas of the company – even the sender will not know. The transaction will be completed through confirmation at the end.
Some analytical steps have been taken to ensure that Azimo Money Transfer service is not misused by fraudulent Facebook profile holders. Under this, Azimo will provide service only after considering the age of the customer’s Facebook account, tendency to add friends, verification status, correct email address etc.
