The latest version of Android Android 9.0 Pi Released in August last year. In the meantime, various OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) have started distributing Android Pie on their devices. However, the buzz of Android Q can be heard before the pie comes on all devices. Since the names of the versions of Android are in alphabetical order, it can be assumed that the name of the next version will be something close to Android Q.
Just a few days ago, on the popular forum of Android developers, XDA, some features of an initial build of Google’s next Android Flavor Android Q. With Information published. Since it is an early build, it has not seen much change or feature.
Google is expected to release the final build of their Android Q later this year. It is normal to see a lot of changes in the final build. But for now let’s discuss two major changes to this initial build. Here is a video of the XDA Developers Forum From Taken as a screenshot.
Android Q will have more user control over app permissions
On Android Q, you can easily find out which apps are allowed to view your personal data. Another thing is that you can set the duration / expiration of a certain permission for an app if you want.
For example, your Google Maps app lets you determine whether your location data will be used only during the app, or all the time.
In previous versions there was no such control.
This feature is available for all types of permissions on all types of apps. Another advantage is that you do not have to bother to go to the settings option. Instead, the apps will show you three types of options in the menu when you ask permission for the first time.
Thanks to this new feature, small icons will show you how many apps are currently using your location, microphone or camera on the Android Q’s notification panel.
Clicking on that small icon of Android Q will again show the list of apps with names and icons so that you can reconsider its permissions by clicking on the app as required.
In addition, you will find a section in the Settings app of Android Q, where there will be an infographic as a summary of how many apps are using which permissions.
Better Dark Mood is coming to Android Q.
Many people use dark wallpapers or themes on their phones to save battery or eyes for the benefit of AMOLED display. Android based various custom ROMs have Dark Mode feature but by default Android Dark Mode has not been around for a long time. Dark mode has arrived on Android Pie OS.
In Q, Google is improving the desired dark mode, which will be effective throughout the operating system. Google has recently started adding Dark Mode to their popular apps.
Since this is not a complete build, Google has not yet been able to implement this dark mode across the system.
However, it is expected that the Android Q will come with a completely dark mode during the official release.
So what do you think about the new feature of Android Q?
