Microsoft Office 365 subscribers could enjoy unlimited OneDrive cloud storage space for so long. But due to the excessive space taken by some users, Microsoft was forced to cancel the unlimited opportunity in the end. The company Reported, A small number of Office365 users have uploaded huge amounts of files with their unlimited cloud storage which has taken up more than 75 terabytes per user. This space is 14,000 times more than the average user.
And seeing such a high level of uploads, Redmond pulled the reins on unlimited storage. From now on, Office 365 home, personal or university subscribers will get 1 terabyte of space instead of unlimited.
Besides, free OneDrive users are being reduced from 15 GB space to 5 GB now. This decision applies to all new and existing users. Camera Roll 15 GB Free Storage Bonus is also no longer available.
These decisions will take effect in early 2018. If you use more than 5 GB of free OneDrive storage, you can access your files for the next 1 year. They have to be removed somewhere. Otherwise it may be deleted.
