With this, the technical information is copied from the card’s magnetic field as soon as the ATM card is touched (or falls within range) and goes to the fraudster. Then another card is made using these. And when the bank account user enters the ATM password, his video record is kept on the camera placed on the top / side wall of the machine. Finally, it is possible to withdraw money from the respective account with the password collected from the duplicate card and video.

In this regard, BRAC Bank’s Head of Communication Zeeshan Kingshook told Independent TV that this method of fraud is new to them. Deputy Commissioner of Detective Police Mollah Nazrul Islam said banks need to think more about security to prevent technology-based financial crimes.
