A few days ago, Poko moved away from Shaomi’s umbrella and declared itself an independent brand. Poko announced a new team as well as many innovations. Poco has unveiled new logos and mascots in its sequel.
This new visual identity will only apply to the Indian branch of Poko. Smartphone maker announces new tagline – Made of Mad.
Poko’s new mascot is part of the logo. This mascot seems to be a combination of multiple emojis. The full meaning of the emoji is given in the following image provided by Poco.
At first glance, this new identity of Poko may cause confusion in the minds of many. The mascot will be decorated instead of the word POCO. This mascot has four pointers. The antenna, like the horn, simultaneously represents cunning and Android’s Hello Robot. The mascot’s face and eyes have been given a lot of evil look, which may be the choice of many.
Poko launched in 2016 as a sub-brand of Xiaomi. It was basically a new attempt to gain popularity among the technology-thirsty. Poko separated from Xiaomi last year and declared itself an independent brand. However, most of the Poko phones are still rebranded versions of various Xiaomi phones.
This is not the first smartphone rebranding incident in recent times. In December last year, Realm unveiled their Realmia mascot.
Note that this new rebranding of Poko will only apply to India. There is no change in the global Poko brand. How do you like this new Poko logo and mascot? Let us know in the comments section.
