Police identified the culprit by looking at Snapchat selfies

Snapchat selfie posted by a teenager in the US has led to his arrest for allegedly killing a classmate. Has done The police. Maxwell Marion Morton, 18, shot and killed his classmate Ryan Mangan at his home in Pennsylvania. The accused boy then took a selfie (picture of himself) while he was with the shot teenager so that both of them could be seen.

Maxwell sent the selfie to another friend via Snapchat. As you may already know, photos sent to Snapchat are automatically deleted after a few seconds. So many people around the world use the service to send confidential documents.

But with the help of some apps on mobile, it is possible to take screenshots of Snapchat pictures. And the friend on the other end of Maxwell’s friend who was sent the picture of the murder mentioned, took a screenshot and showed it to his mother. Maxwell was then arrested when the friend’s mother contacted police.

Maxwell has pleaded guilty to six counts of manslaughter and police say he will have to face trial as an adult.
