Students of the Polytechnic Institute of Bangladesh have taken to the field to demand two points. Today, on Saturday 26th September, unpleasant incidents have been reported in several places of the country. If the demand is not met, all the polytechnics of the country may be boycotted from tomorrow. Protests also took place in Bogra, Sirajganj and Narsingdi Done.

Inspector (Investigation) of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, quoting Mr. Biplob, reported to banglanews that the protesters have been blocking the road and manhandling people at the Satara road junction since morning demanding two points. They then went inside and vandalized the principal’s office.

According to the newspaper, the police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to bring the situation under control. In this incident, the traffic on Magura-Jhenaidah road is closed from 10:15 am to 1:00 pm.
